Cowboysnews.us: New fun zone for kids opens in London’s Westfield shopping centre by Hot News Cowboys in Adventure:
Welcome to KidZania, a huge fun zone in London’s Westfield shopping centre where kids quite literally run the show.
The concept is simple as a great day out: they enter an indoor city where youngsters aged 4 to 14 can have a go at more 60 real-life activities.
“Kids run the show”
The entrance fee includes 4 hours inside where, if you’re aged eight or over, you can go in with your friends without parents having to tag along.
Once inside, the kids take on jobs like being, say, a firefighter where you dress up and pretend to put out a real fire.
Or they can have a go at being a radio station DJ, a surgeon performing operations, a model, an actor on stage, or try working in a bank, supermarket or hotel – kids even earn pretend money for their efforts.
The first branch opened in 1999 in a shopping mall in Mexico and, including the west London site, there are now 24 across the globe in Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East.
Entry fees depend on which days and time slots you go for but expect to pay around £20 per child – or £99 for an annual pass giving unlimited entry.
KidZania can host your child’s birthday party and kids wear electronic bracelets so you know where they are at all times.
